Carol received a theater residency and grant in 2022 to create a new work related to fighting gender oppression as it intersects with climate disaster. The outcome of the project included a new stage play, Sappho’s Garden now available through No Passport Press. This is in collaboration with friend and colleague, Domnica Radulescu (Autumn 2024).

 

A book launch of Carol’s newest fiction, Rebel Rose debuted in May, 2024 by Rebel Satori Press. Kirkus Reviews says it is, “Beautifully written and charmingly relatable.” (August 2024)

Carol’s first full length play with music, Chicks In Heaven, received a sixteen-show production as part of Bold New Voices Initiative at the Creative Cauldron (April 2024).

Recent publication: The short story, Rightful Magic, was featured in the compilation, Stories Through the Ages. Published by Living Springs Publishers and was a quarter finalist in the International Film contest Screenway Films (Fall 2022).

 

Recent publication: The short story, Seed People, was featured in The Write Launch, an on-line journal (August 2022).

 

Moondrops, A Play of Goddesses and Valiant Women, a full-length collaboration that focuses on women and trauma, was part of the 3rd Annual New Plays Festival in Jersey City (May 2021)

 

Carol created Crone Stones, a meditation tool made of 33 porcelain stones, to inspire and educate women and men, based on years of research in mythology, anthropology and feminist theory. The accompanying non-fiction is Return to Wellness: The New Book of Crone Stones, was published in 2011 by Barclay Bryan Press and won rave reviews by:

The full-length stage play, The Lesbian Wannabe, a satirical salve for today’s political climate, was recognized with the Outstanding Graduate Student Project Award (Dec 2017).

 

A storytelling series drawn from true experiences of women, The Goddess Diaries was voted Best of the Fringe three years in a row (DC Metro Theater Arts) at The Capital Fringe Festival in Washington, DC (2012-2014).
